Dinner with Strangers is one of ADEA at UCSF’s newest programs that is starting this quarter (Winter 2015)! It was developed to facilitate a stronger and more personal relationship between students and faculty and alumni outside of the classroom setting. This event was inspired by a similar program at UCLA in which faculty and alumni host a dinner for strangers at their homes or a restaurant. This quarter, 10 of our most inspirational faculty have volunteered their time to each host 8 students to dinner either at their favorite restaurant or at their home. Students were randomly matched up with their respective faculty along with the other accompanying seven “strangers,” or other dental students. These dinners are being held all throughout the winter quarter.
